Meet the Author Qs

Meet the Author Mondays is a regular SFR Brigade Blog feature where you can introduce yourself and your book/s to readers and other writers. The stipulation is you can only promote a SFR or SF title as part of your interview (you may mention your non-SF books in your upcoming or other works section). You must be a published author, or an author with a title that will release within three months to take part.

The interviews are run on a first come, first served basis. If you request a specific date we'll try to accommodate you if the date is available, but you must first submit your answers before a date will be reserved for you.

What to Submit:

You may answer all -- or any five -- of the following questions:

• How or why did you first start writing SFR? Any particular inspirations?
• How many SFR books have you published and what are the titles? Can you give us a quick blurb on your most recent or upcoming title?
• Give us a brief snippet of a favorite scene or passage from your work.
• When writing, which usually comes first for you -- the romance or the other elements of the story?
• Have any of your books received any special recognition? What and where?
• Where's your favorite place to write? Do you have a dedicated writer's cave?
• What are your favorite SF/R movies or television series and why?
• How long have you been a member of the SFR Brigade and do you serve any special roles within the community?

Would you like to cover a particular SFR- or writing-related topic not addressed in the questions above? We can do that! Let's work together to craft the perfect question list.

You may also include a photo of one of your book covers or promotional graphic (not both)

 

 

At the end of your answers, you may also include the following:

 

A short bio or introduction with a link to your author site or blog

 

Your photo (send with answers)

 

Mention an upcoming release if not included in your interview questions above.

 

Up to five links to social media

Other works: Titles with up to five sales links to your books or to a book page on your site or to an Amazon (etc.) author page. (For formatting purposes, include full link and please don't embed in document.)

Please note that we reserve the right to edit your submission for length if the word count is deemed too large for the blog. Maximum 500-700 words for main content (not counting author bio info, etc.) is recommended, with a maximum word count of about 1000 words overall is ideal.

Please go to Facebook and PM Laurie Green (SFR Brigade administrator) to get her email address to submit your answers and information. If you are not on Facebook, please leave a comment below requesting contact information.
